Welcome to the June Blog Hop with the Sunshine SU Demo Facebook Group!
Our challenge for this month's Blog Hop was to use the following Stampin' Up! colors: Fresh Freesia, Blackberry Bliss and Soft Succulent.
The shadow effect on the freshia plants is VERY simple to do. First step is to ink up your stamp, next you would stamp it onto your project, and lastly stamp again WITHOUT re-inking. It is a technique of "stamping off" the ink so that way it creates a lighter/shadow effect. Pretty neat, huh?!
Also, did you catch the extra color on the green leaves? I stamped the image in Soft Succulent and then used my Dark Soft Succulent Blend marker to add the "dimension" or the "real" look to the plant.
I also wanted to use a *NEW* stamp set from the 2022/2023 Annual Catalog and the one that I chose is Wisteria Wishes. Can you just imagine the freesia flowers stamped in a variety of purple colors or even pink or blue?!

DeleteKari, I love your card. Now I may have to put it on my list of must haves. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLove the “accenting” of the stamp with markers! That is a great idea!
