30 Days

And the countdown begins!  Only 30 days left until Christmas!  I cannot believe it is only one month away...cookies, baking, eating, sharing, cardmaking, family, friends, carols, etc etc etc.  What are your holiday plans this year?  Traveling or will family be visiting you?  I am happy to have my family here with me in sunny Florida, although sometimes I do wish for a white christmas.  Wouldn't that be a sight here!

I love these printed tags in the Holiday Catalog this year.  The Snow Festival Designer Printed Tags make it sooooo easy to make a card or gift tag special.  There are 25 double-sided tags; 5 each of 5 designs, $3.95.  Check them out on page 12 of the Holiday Catalog!

Below is a card I made with one of the tags and some bakers twine tied around the card...easy!  Also, there are three other holiday cards to inspire you.

Happy Halloween!

Isn't this Frankenstein the cutest?!  This is the perfect goodie to give away for Halloween.  He is made out of the Top Note die from Stampin' Up!  I love punch art, don't you?! His hair is a Top Note die cut out in Basic Black cardstock, cut in half, then cut with scissors to create his spikey hair.   Also, notice that his eyelids and nose are distressed using Basic Grey ink to give it a little more dimension.

Happy Stamping,
Kari

Birthday!

I love creating Birthday cards for my friends; here is a card I created using the Mixed Bunch stamp set and coordinating punch, the leaf from Betsy's Blossoms stamp set and retired (no longer available) Designer Series Paper in Everyday Enchantment from the 2012 Sale-a-bration catalog as well as the stamp set Elementary Elegance for the sentiment "Happy Birthday".  It is always good to have this sentiment on hand.

Speaking of sentiment stamps, Stampin' Up! is now offering you the chance to buy SINGLE pieces from the following greeting stamp sets:  Word Play, Perfectly Penned, and Seasonal Sayings.  They will be offered in clear mount only.   This offer goes thru January 2, 2013.  Check out these stamp sets and see if there are any sentiments you want to get your hands on!

Kari

Reduce Reuse Recycle

I always have a select few Stampin' Up! retired stamp sets and accessories on hand to use for different occasions and I am glad this is one that I held on to.  Isn't the turle cute?!  The turtle is from the Fox & Friends stamp set and the card base is Close to Cocoa; two items that are retired (no longer sold by Stampin' Up!).
Use some of your supplies that you have on hand in your stamp room, including the older catalogs.  The idea for this card came from a Mini Occasions 2010 Stampin' Up! catalog.  I love revisiting those catalogs for ideas and inspiration.  Try it out!

Convention 2012 Day Three

The fun continues...This trip I saw so many cute bags made from the Stampin' Up! fabric. Yep, that's right, Stampin' Up! sells fabric! I love using fabric on cards, to make flower pins, and to make bags. Check out one of the samples below...

The new trimmer is fantastic; can't wait to order this one...

Here are the fabric flowers....

The class "I am...Savvy" included Dawn Griffith, Laura Milligan, and Meg Wheeler! Shout out to Meg Wheeler from Conway, Arkansas! I went to UCA, University of Central Arkansas; home of Conway, Arkansas (and the college that Scottie Pippen went to). :) Their demonstrations were unique and creative; love the In Color demonstrations by Dawn, the fabric projects from Laura, and the scrapbook layouts by Meg.
