April Stamp Club

in , by Kari Downing Reese, May 26, 2014
I love thinking of ways to create a fun spin on the ole standby size of a card.
Check out the first two projects in the April Stamp Club below.

This accordion card was made using the Scalloped Tag Topper punch!  Super easy to put together!

*Label Love Stamp Set
*Strawberry Slush Ink
*Strawberry Slush and Basic Black cardstock
*Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper
*Scalloped Tag Topper Punch/Artisan Label Punch
*Basic Black 3/4" Chevron Ribbon

I measured the Strawberry Slush cardstock just a bit smaller than 2 inches on the sides and 4 inches on the longer side.  I did the same with the Designer Series Paper.  This was so I would have a border and see all three layers/colors once it was all assembled.

Take a Basic Black piece of cardstock measured at 6'x4.25"
Score the cardstock at 2 inches and 4 inches
Accordion fold the scored paper
Punch thru all 3 folded layers in the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch

Adhere the SS and DSP to the Basic Black base
Stamp and Punch the image greeting
Tie some Basic Black Chevron Ribbon thru and Voila!

So Cute!!!

This is the second unique card design.

*Big Wish Stamp Set
*Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper
*Coastal Cabana, Very Vanilla, So Saffron cardstock
*Baked Brown Sugar Ink and Coastal Cabana Marker
*Scalloped Edge Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch
*2-1/2 Circle, 1-3/4 Circle, 2-3/8 Scallop Circle Punches

This card measures 4-1/4 by 10-15/16. You need that little edge cut off at the end
so that the card folds together nicely.
Then score at 2-1/2 inches and then rotate the card and score it at 4 inches
Scallop edge the smaller side
Punch the 2-1/2 circle punch so the score line is in the center of the punch

Adhere the patterned paper on the top
You only need adhesive on the bottom portion of the Scallop punch because it only needs to adhere on the bottom half.
I put my small punched flower with a dimensional to hold the card closed!

The third card is an original card base, but I just love how the new Hardwood Stamp Set can be used in a different way than just stamping the full image as a background.

*Hardwood Stamp Set & Betsy's Blossoms Stamp Set
*Soft Suede, Pistachio Pudding Ink
*Whisper White, Pistachio Pudding, Crumb Cake cardstock
*Elegant Butterfly Punch
*1/8" mini brads, stamping sponge
*Beautiful Wings Embosslits

Stamp the Hardwood stamp in Soft Suede Ink onto Crumb Cake Cardstock
Use the lines of the wood to cut strips on your Stampin' Trimmer or use scissors
I used 5 strips; 3 for the fence, the other 2 cut in half for the sides with the brads
Sponge around the edges with Soft Suede Ink

Stamp the large flower image on the Whisper White cardstock with Pistachio Pudding Ink
Layer your fence posts and use the brads to adhere to the Whisper White cardstock
Layer the butterflies and adhere with Glue Dots

The perfect spring time Thank You card!
